2. Establish a relaxing atmosphere.


We feel much differently depending on the lighting. Turning out your nighttime lights signals your brain it’s time to unwind.

  • Cut off ceiling lights.
  • Soft background music for play should be instrumental or classical.

3. Create a ritual around skincare.


This is about intention, not about twelve stages.

  • Gradually cleanse your face.
  • Use your serums and moisturisers as though you are lovingly painting your skin.
  • Self-touch ritual: massage in oil or cream.

Add personal care as well. Depth to your self-care comes from a soft body oil, lotion, or simply a fast dry brush.



4. Reflective or Journalist


Spend five minutes jotting ideas or emotions. Writing lets you free up room for sleep and releases what your mind is clinging to.

Try calls to action like:

  • As of today, what am I proud of?
  • What seemed peaceful or lovely?
  • Tonight, what am I leaving behind?

5. Get ready for sleep intentionally.

  • An eye mask made of silk.
  • Your journal, candle, and preferred book on a lovely bedside tray.

  • White noise or soft music

Though minute, these elements have great influence. They communicate your mind: right now you are safe. You’re at home.

I don’t have time at night.” You don’t need a drawn-out ritual. Just fifteen to twenty minutes of deliberate silence will change your whole night.
